Lt. Paul Chavez Competes in National Recipe Contest
Chavez was one of three nation wide fire fighter's competing in the weekly "Live with Regis and Kelly" Fire House Cook-off contest
Paul Chavez submitted his famous Southwest Tropic Blaze, a mouth-watering mahi-mahi recipe to the show through a two-minute video, explaining the dish. The video was aired on August 6th and was choosen from thousands submitted.
Chavez didn't recieve enough online votes to make it to the finals and win the $10,000 grand prize but was grateful for the opportunity to make it as far as he did.
