Spring Flower Show at the Botanic Garden

See shamrocks, fire lilies and other spring favorites.

March 6, 2020 - Warm weather may be just around the corner, but March in Albuquerque can be a bit unpredictable. The ABQ BioPark is celebrating this chaotic season with the March Madness Flower Show.

The show takes place inside the Botanic Garden's Mediterranean Conservatory from March 6-31 and will feature shamrocks, multi-colored bromeliads, kangaroo paws, dahlias, gerbera daisies, cineraria, kalanchoes, primulas, strawberry firetails, fire lilies, begonias and more.
"No matter the weather outside, we'll be welcoming spring with beautiful bright colors during this show," said Maria Thomas, ABQ BioPark curator of plants. "Join us inside the conservatory and then don't forget to check out some of our early blooming spring bulbs outside too."
Early outdoor bloomers include crocus, species iris, snowdrops and helleorus. Visitors may also start seeing daffodils, star magnolia and weeping cherry trees toward the end of March and into April.
The show is included with regular admission.
