'Making Africa: A Continent of Design'

"Making Africa" features the work over 100 artists and designers working in cities throughout Africa today.

Event Schedule

  • 1 p.m. Ugochukwu-Smooth Nzewi PhD, Curator of African Art at the Cleveland Museum of Art explores the historical roots and contemporary influences on artists working in Africa today.
  • 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Create an art project inspired by the exhibition in the Museum School.
  • 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wassa Dance & Drum Ensemble. Enjoy traditional music and songs from Guinea, West Africa followed by traditional drum and dance.
