5:30–8 p.m. | Plant a seed and take it home
Participants will use fruit, soil, sunflower seeds, mycorrhizal spores, and water to create an ecosystem for the successful germination of a seed and development of a healthy plant. Leave with your own fruit half to take home and plant and nurture. Taught by artist and organic farmer Kaitlin Bryson.

5:30–8 p.m. | Listen to música norteña with David Garcia
David Garcia is from northern New Mexican community of El Guache. His expansive musical repertory includes songs drawn from his fieldwork, nationwide tours with Al Hurricane and El Gringo, and his own compositions. He writes coplas and canciones, and has crafted the first décimas written in New Mexico since the 1950s.

6–7 p.m. | Learn about the power of plant medicine
The Museum Store is pleased to present Sonia Masocco, international speaker and clinical herbalist who will give a talk on GAIA, Mindfulness & Environmental Stewardship. Masocco will lead you through a journey of discovery and awareness. Learn ways in which our relationship with the earth and daily behaviors can be altered in order to achieve better homeostasis, sustainability, and availability. Then visit the Museum Store for her artisanal soaps and specially blended teas.

6:30–7:30 p.m. | Practice yoga in the history gallery
Our friends at YogaZo are leading us through all the moves — every 3rd Thursday over the summer. This month we will meet in the history gallery, Only in Albuquerque.

YogaZo is a mobile yoga studio that focuses on delivering yoga classes tailored to meet everyBODY on the mat. Whether it's your first go at yoga or you are a seasoned practitioner, or talented instructors will guide you through a fresh practice with a recognizable soundtrack and a welcome approach to a traditional practice. Be ready to step off your mat to connect with those around you. Bring a mat and water to this practice. A limited number of mats will be available if you do not have one.

Details subject to change.
