Information and ability to provide comments regarding 'Windows' Celebratory Parks.

BackgroundD5 Windows Parks Flyer

The entire area of District 5, due to the natural terrain and development pattern on the City’s Westside, offers a premier window to stunning views, and access to parks, trails and open spaces located along the Rio Grande river, and within major arroyo systems.

District 5 is further enhanced by a number of vest pocket parks located adjacent to the major arroyos, escarpments and drainage areas like the Calabacillas Arroyo, and Mariposa Park.

District 5 is located at the Center of the Petroglyph National Monument.  Its Visitors Center and most used trail entrances to the national monument are located within the boundaries of the District and draw the greatest number of visitors.

District 5 is connected to 3 vital bridge crossings and 4 major roadways leading from the District to the City of Rio Rancho.  District 5 has direct connections to the trail systems leading to the Rio Grande State Park.  The trail system along the Bosque is designated and preserved as a State Park.
