The hearing, at which the proposed rule or regulation is considered, shall be open to the public and any person may give testimony in favor of or in opposition to the proposed rule or regulation, whether such testimony is given orally or submitted in writing. In considering the proposed rule or regulation, the hearing officer shall give due consideration to all such testimony.

Meeting Purpose

This hearing is to discuss and establish a rule specific to the City employees who hold commercial driver’s licenses and who seek to operate commercial motor vehicles on behalf of the City, i.e. "CDL" holders.

At this hearing, in addition to CDL rules, the hearing officer may entertain discussion or proposals pertaining to the City's Operator's Permit Policy, which could be revised if deemed necessary by the hearing officer as the result of any such discussion.
