This hearing is the first hearing of the Albuquerque Housing Authority Board related to the adoption of a revised for 2013 set of Rules of Conduct for the Albuquerque Housing Authority Board of Housing Commissioners.

Currently, the Albuquerque Housing Authority Board follows the Rules of Conduct it adopted in 2011 to govern how it conducts its business.

Proposed Changes

Currently, the Albuquerque Housing Authority Board also generally follows the principles of Robert’s Rules of Order, as well as federal law and HUD regulations, as well as state and city law and Albuquerque Housing Authority polices.

Any proposed revisions to the proposed 2013 edition of the Rules, if any, will be posted as they become available.

A summary of the major points of the proposed revisions include: allowing for greater amounts of Public Comment and allowing people to speak on non-germane topics, and for a longer period of time, during a portion of Regular Meetings of the Albuquerque Housing Authority Board that are dedicated to listening to Public Comment.
