Organized by The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards were established in the early 1920’s to encourage, foster and reward creativity in our nation’s classrooms. It is the largest, longest- running and most prestigious student recognition program in America. Each year, students in grades 7-12 have the opportunity to participate in The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Students who attend public, private and parochial schools throughout the U.S. and its territories, American-run schools abroad, home-school programs and community organizations providing art and writing programs are eligible. The New Mexico Scholastic Art Awards Recognition Ceremony celebrates students and their award-winning artwork from across New Mexico and El Paso. This event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required, just show up and show your support! To see the award winning art work visit the Orpheum Community Art Space, the exhibition runs from January 31 to March 1, 2025.
Ceremony start times are based on last name and doors for award ceremonies are 30 minutes before each start time.
For last names A-L the ceremony begins at 5 p.m.
For last names M-Z the ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m.
Free and open to the public.
