Balloon Museum to Temporarily Close for Roof Construction

Balloon Museum will reopen with two brand new exhibits.

March 13, 2023 - The Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum will be closed to the public from March 20 through May 15 for roof construction. All front entrances to the museum including the Museum Shoppe will be blocked during this time. The Balloon Museum and Museum Shoppe will reopen to the public on Tuesday, May 16.

The $1.5 million roofing project to replace all the cladding on the building is underway. When the museum reopens, guests will be greeted with two brand new exhibitions.
