Get Wild With the ABQ BioPark This Spring Break

Youth from toddlers to teens can choose from a variety of camps including in-person and virtual options.

Feb. 4, 2021 - Registration for spring break camps, which take place March 22-26, is now live.

This year, the ABQ BioPark is offering both in-person and virtual classes on Zoom.

"From toddlers to teens, we've got a class for everyone," said Cheri Vogel, ABQ BioPark curator of education. "We're excited to continue to offer our in-person camps while expanding virtual opportunities for those who would prefer a crash course in subjects like extreme predators and careers in marine biology from the comfort of their home."

In-person camps go from March 22-26 and include two options: Spring Wildlife Safari at the Zoo and Spring Rio Grande Adventure at the Botanic Garden/Aquarium. Each track is available for grades 2-3 or grades 4-6. Price for a full week is $230 for the general public and $207 for New Mexico BioPark Society members. Camps are limited to five children and one instructor. More information and registration links can be found at: cabq.gov/springbreakcamps

The ABQ BioPark is also offering more than 20 virtual camps during the week that vary in length from 30-90 minutes. Classes are divided by age group and start for kids as young as 2 years old. Prices, dates and times vary and can be found online: cabq.gov/springbreakcamps
