Celebrate public gardens with us! Learn how our staff and partners promote education, stewardship, and plant and water conservation at the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden!

  • Learn about waterwise gardens and beneficial insects.
  • Discover the native plants of New Mexico.
  • Ask a BioPark gardener or Master Gardener of Albuquerque your gardening questions.
  • Learn how to test your water.
  • Free seed packets and plants while supplies last.

Our community partners include the Albuquerque Bonsai Club, Albuquerque Master Gardeners, Native Plant Society of New Mexico and Albuquerque Sister City, Rehovot, Israel.

About National Public Gardens Day

National Public Gardens Day was created in 2009, with then partners Rain Bird, to drive local and national exposure to the importance of building vibrant, relevant gardens committed to community enrichment and environmental responsibility through community engagement, sustainable practices and conversation.
