Description

In this 3-part series held on the first Wednesday of each month, Director Andrew Connors examines 19th and early 20th century design including architecture, decorative arts and interior design. Springing from a comprehensive exploration of the Glasgow style, these talks will look at the British Avant-Garde, the Viennese School, and end with simultaneous innovations in the United States. Featured designers include Charles Rennie Mackintosh and others in the Glasgow style, Adolph Loos, Josef Hoffman, Gustav Klimt and Frank Lloyd Wright. Challenging and innovative musical compositions of the period will accompany the talks.
