Heritage Day

Casa San Ysidro presents Heritage Day with activities for the whole family.

May 13, 2023
10:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Casa San Ysidro
973 Old Church Road
Corrales, NM 87048

Each year in May, Casa San Ysidro joins the Corrales Historical Society to celebrate local heritage during a free event that exhibits the living traditions of New Mexico. The historical heart of Corrales comes alive with opportunities for people to engage in with local historical activities.

Visitors can explore the museum's collection of rare artifacts, participate in a variety of activities, listen to live music, and learn about heritage crafts from traditional artists that come from all across New Mexico. Throughout the day participants may visit with a local blacksmith as he works the forge, try traditional horno baked bread, participate in dancing with the Acoma Enchanted Dancers, learn to create Spanish Colonial crafts like tinwork and straw inlay, spin and weave wool with traditional weavers, and hear traditional live music.
