The influences of European and Indigenous development through time can be seen within the walls of Casa San Ysidro’s architecture. Buildings from New Mexico’s Colonial and Territorial periods have been salvaged and preserved through the visions of Alan and Shirley Minge.

  • 1:00 p.m. Architectural Historian Chris Wilson articulates the cultural and historical contexts of Colonial and Territorial era New Mexico through Casa’s unique story in local history.
  • A special tour of Casa San Ysidro follows the lecture.
  • Architecture activities will be available for children.
Second Saturdays are free events that explore themes of community, creativity, tradition and innovation. Events include talks, demonstrations and hands-on experiences as well as self-guided tours of the property.
