Women's Pay Equity Task Force
The City of Albuquerque is working on efforts to equalize pay between male and female employees, as well as encourage City contractors to report the salary discrepancies among their employees.
Currently, the City's Women's Pay Equality Task Force, is examining way to minimize pay inequality among male and female employees at the City of Albuquerque.
Preliminary numbers nationally show women are paid on average 23 percent less than men in comparable roles. The City of Albuquerque's numbers show the variation to be less than 6 percent.
