Can't get to your job or job training class? Subscription service can provide the transportation "jumpstart" that you need.

  • Hours: Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
  • Costs: 75¢ per trip. You cannot use a bus pass, bus tokens or Mini Ride coupons for Job Access.
  • Trips: Trips will be provided only to jobs, job training and child care required for a job and/or job-related training.  No side trips will be permitted.
    Qualified Job Access riders are eligible for 120 one-way trips and 4 emergency rides.
  • Location: Job Access services will be provided only if bus service is not available for the following reasons.
    1. The closest ABQ RIDE bus stop is more than 1/4 mile away from your home or destination.
    2. Your ABQ RIDE bus trip takes more than 1 1/2 hours.
    3. No ABQ RIDE bus service is available.
  • Income: Clients must be either low-income or receive TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families).  Riders with household income at or below 150% of poverty are eligible.
  • Service Area: The service area for Job Access is Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Corrales, the Town of Bernalillo and most of Bernalillo county, excluding Isleta Pueblo and the East Mountain area.  Rides will only be provided in this service area.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Can I use Job Access for interviews or  job hunting?
Job Access can be used only for transportation to a job or job training program.  Unfortunately, it cannot be used for interviews or a job search.

Can I use Job Access to get to school?
It must be a short-term job training program.  You  cannot use Job Access for a degree program.

What if I lose my job?  Can I get Job Access again when I start a new job?
Once you are registered with Job Access, you have 120 trips for life.  If you get a new job, Job Access will verify your information again to make sure you meet the requirements.

I work nights and I use the bus to get to work, but need Job Access to get home.  Can I just use Job Access one way?
We may qualify you to use Job Access one direction.
