The Green Line
The Rapid Ride Green Line connects Albuquerque’s Southeastern Communities to the University of New Mexico campus and to Downtown.
Where does the Green Line go?
The Green Line goes from Tramway to Downtown on Central Avenue.
What are the Green Line's hours of operation?
The Green Line runs every 15 minutes from 5:30 AM to 9:30 PM. Weekend service runs about every 30 minutes. Saturday service runs from 6 AM to 9 PM, and Sunday service goes from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Where are the stops located?
Where the route overlaps the 766 Red Line Rapid Ride between 6th Street Downtown and Louisiana, the Green Line shares stops with the Red Line. Stop locations are:
- Tramway & Wenonah (south of Central & Tramway) Green Line only
- Central & Juan Tabo Green Line only
- Central & Eubank Green Line only
- Central & Wyoming Green Line only
- Central & Louisiana Green and Red Lines
- Central & San Mateo Green and Red Lines
- Central & Carlisle Green and Red Lines
- Central & UNM / Frontier Restaurant Green and Red Lines
(Transfer for Blue Line) - Central at Presbyterian Hospital Green and Red Lines
- Central & 1st (Alvarado Transportation Center) Green and Red Lines
- Copper/Gold & 6th (Main Library / Federal Bldg) Green and Red Lines
Are there any Park & Ride lots along the route?
A park & ride at Tramway & Wenonah (behind the Four Hills Shopping Center) is available for our passengers to use.
Does the Green Line connect with Rapid Ride Red Line or Blue Line?
Yes. The Green Line does have a coordinated schedule with the Red Line where they overlap between Downtown and Louisiana. Both run every 15 minutes in peak times. Between both routes, a bus services stops in that stretch every 7 to 8 minutes. Transfers between the two routes are possible at many common stops.
The Green Line also connects with the Blue Line at Central & Yale.
Do stops on the Green Line look like stops on the Central Rapid Ride line?
Bus shelters similar to others on Central Avenue are in the design phase, with construction planned for fall of 2009 for stops with higher anticipated boardings.
What are some of the key destinations along the Green Line?
Key destinations include Downtown, the Alvarado Transportation Center, Presbyterian Hospital, UNM, Nob Hill, and Expo NM (State Fairgrounds).
How much does it cost to ride the Rapid Ride Green Line?
Fares on the Green Line are the same as all other routes: $1 for adults, 35¢ for students and honored citizens. Daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual passes are also available. For more information on all of ABQ RIDE's passes click here.
