Rapid After Dark is a late-night extension of Rapid Ride "Red Line" (Central Avenue) service. Rapid After Dark runs every Friday and Saturday night during the summer months.
Rapid After Dark runs every 20 minutes from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. (Rapid Ride "Red Line" service remains every 11 minutes until 8 p.m.)
The buses will stop at all the regular Rapid Ride stops.
The cost to ride Rapid After Dark is the same as any other ABQ RIDE bus. It's $1 per trip, and all regular ABQ RIDE bus passes are accepted. For the first time, ABQ RIDE is selling a Rapid After Dark VIP pass that offers free RAD trips all summer in addition to discounts at some of the restaurants and businesses along the route.
You can drive to either Park & Ride along the route. One is located at the Uptown Transit Center near Coronado Mall; the other is located on the corner of Central and Unser. There is no charge for parking in these lots.
At this time, ABQ RIDE will not offer Rapid After Dark on the Rapid Ride "Blue" Line.
A security guard will be stationed on each Rapid After Dark vehicle.
Paratransit service is also available for passengers within a three-quarter mile radius of the Rapid Ride route. Certified passengers must pre-book their rides one day in advance by calling 243-RIDE (7433).
