Use Park & Ride service at two locations.

Park & Ride Pricing

Round-trip cost for riding the bus is:

  • Adults - $1
  • Honored citizens (62 years and older or handicapped) - 35 cents
  • Students (ages 10-18) - 35 cents
  • Children 9 and younger - Free

Cash only. Exact change is needed and bus passes will not be honored for this event.

Let ABQ RIDE take you to the City of Albuquerque's Freedom Fourth celebration at Balloon Fiesta Park.

Operational Hours

Park & Ride service inbound to the Park begins at 3 p.m. and will continue until 8 p.m.

After 8 p.m., limited outbound service to the two Park and Ride locations begins.

The bulk of the return trips to the two Park and Ride locations will begin immediately after the conclusion of the fireworks show, with the last bus leaving the park at 11 p.m.

Park & Ride Locations

Bus service is planned on July Fourth to and from the celebration from two Park and Ride locations:

  • Westside at St. Pius High School (and across the street at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande when the St. Pius lot is full)
  • Eastside at Coronado Center (west of Macy's parking lot on San Pedro).

Prohibited Items

The following will not be allowed at Balloon Fiesta Park or on the Park and Ride buses:

  • Pets
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Glass containers
  • Weapons
  • Fireworks
  • Open containers

You also cannot bring B-B-Q grills, camp stoves or other cooking devices or pop-up tents.

Permitted Items

The following items are allowed at Balloon Fiesta Park and on the Park and Ride buses:

Sealed plastic containers

  • Blankets
  • Strollers
  • Umbrellas
  • Picnic food
  • Small compact chairs

Coolers and picnic baskets are subject to search prior to loading onto the Park and Ride buses.
