Albuquerque Rapid Transit (ART) Uses Technology To Reach Drivers

The Albuquerque Rapid Transit (ART) team has set up a variety of innovative ways for people to stay in the know regarding construction, detours, parking and weekly events. People can get weekly text message or email alerts by signing up at What they will receive is a unique rich media experience via MIXONIUM, a technology developed by Corrales Based MIXONIUM Group Holdings. Via text or email, people will be able to see videos of the project, links to project maps, get the latest breaking news regarding the project, scroll through all the businesses on Central Avenue in a virtual main street and find out about weekly promotions and special events.

“Initial construction and planning is already underway, with heavy construction scheduled to begin after the Balloon Fiesta on October 17,” said Mayor Richard J. Berry. “People should sign up for ART alerts so they can stay in the know. We also encourage everyone to visit the businesses on Central Avenue now more than ever, and remember that at least one lane will be open in each direction the entire duration of construction.”
