ABQ Ride Sails Down the Rio Grande

ABQ RIDE was among hundreds of watercrafts and their crews that took part in the 2009 Great Race Down the Rio Grande. The ABQ RIDE raft was Captained by Greg Payne, Director of ABQ RIDE with a dedicated crew of six: Doreen De La Cruz, Ron Dupuy, Brian Miller, Dwayne Baker, Selinda Guerrero and Jonathan Martinez.
This year’s race had special meaning because it was dedicated to Corbin Hayes, who lost his life on the river the week before. ABQ RIDE crewmembers wore buttons with Corbin’s picture in memoriam.
