Youth Summer Fun Pass Offers Four County Unlimited Bus and Train Rides for Ages 10-18!

Unlimited Rides for $15 Now Available for Both ABQ RIDE and New Mexico Rail Runner Express through June and July.

The Youth Summer Fun Pass is back!  And for the first time ever, three transit agencies are working together to offer bus and train travel within a 7,800 square mile area.  For $15, the handy pass gives youth ages 10-18 unlimited rides on all ABQ RIDE, Rio Metro, and Santa Fe Trails buses, plus the New Mexico Rail Runner Express.

"The Youth Summer Fun Pass gives young people in Albuquerque, and our outlying communities, mobility and cost savings," says Albuquerque Mayor Richard J Berry.  "With today's economic constraints, the summer fun pass is a convenient way for youths to get summer jobs as well as travel safely around the region for summer employment."

A limited number of passes went on sale May 3 (however, not at any of ABQ RIDE’s Ticket Vending Machines) and will be valid for travel on buses and the Rail Runner beginning June 1st through July 31st.  It can only be used by youth ages 10-18.  Pass-holders can also take advantage of a number of exclusive discounts at area attractions throughout the region.

“The youth in four counties can now navigate the entire Rio Grande Valley and all it has to offer this summer,” said Bruce Rizzieri, Director of ABQ RIDE.  “A common pass accepted by ABQ RIDE, the Rio Metro Regional Transit District and Santa Fe Trails not only opens up transit service options that aren’t currently available, but also provides a look at the future of transit service in central New Mexico.”
