Special ART Public Meeting: March 8, 2016
A special Albuquerque Rapid Transit (ART) public meeting has been organized by the City of Albuquerque specifically to let people ask questions and voice opinions on the project. The meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kiva Auditorium in the Albuquerque Convention Center. People will be limited to two minutes to accommodate as many people as possible.
"The ART team has held 20 public meetings in the last two years, have had thousands of one-on-one conversations, and the project has been in the media constantly," said Michael Riordan, Chief Operations Officer for the City of Albuquerque. "However, what has come across loud and clear, is many people still have questions and feel their concerns haven’t been heard; while some individuals who like the project don’t feel comfortable voicing their opinions during the current public meeting process. That is why we decided to have this special meeting."
