Find out how to save money, get exercise and see a new perspective of Albuquerque when you join us for National Bike to Work Day in Albuquerque.

Albuquerque Mayor Richard J. Berry and ABQ RIDE Director Bruce Rizzieri are encouraging everyone to leave their cars at home and experience the money-saving and healthful benefits of biking and busing to work.

ABQ RIDE will join Bike ABQ at four, different Albuquerque locations from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Friday, May 15. They’ll have information on how to bike and bus to work. They’ll also have lots of bike-related giveaways to help encourage people interested in biking and busing to work. These locations are:

  • Uptown Transit Center – Indian School Rd. & Indiana NE (across from APS)
  • Harry E. Kinney Civic Plaza-Marquette and 3rd St, north end of Plaza)
  • Los Ranchos/Journal Center Rail Runner Station 101 El Pueblo NE, Albuquerque
  • Bridge/South Valley (Gateway Park, SE corner of Bridge and Isleta)

Bike ABQ will also be at several other locations:

Thursday, May 14, 2015:

  • KAFB/Sandia Labs/VA Hospital Cycle Stop (Ridgecrest and Truman)
  • UNM North Campus–North Diversion Channel Trail at Tucker Ave 

Friday, May 15, 2015:

  • Bosque Trail at I-40 (in the Bosque Trail parking lot at the west end of Gabaldon Place NW)
  • Bear Canyon at I-25 (in the parking lot of Doc and Eddy’s on Brentwood Ln NE)
  • Northeast Heights-Erna Fergusson Library-3700 San Mateo Blvd NE (parking lot of the Library, adjacent to the Paseo del Nordeste Recreation Trail)
  • Westside-Pueblo Bonita (SW of Montaño and Winter Haven)
  • Intel, Rio Rancho (middle of the Intel complex, near the front entrance)
  • Gateway Park (Gateway Park at Bridge Blvd and Isleta Blvd )
  • Bosque Trail at Rio Bravo (off to the side of the Bosque Trail at Rio Bravo)
