Visit the Balloon Museum before "Freedom Fourth" events at Balloon Fiesta Park
Friday, July 4th. The Balloon Museum will be open with its regular schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Learn about the history of ballooning and tour our new exhibitions "Native Americans and Ballooning" and "Las Nubes de La Palma: Clouds, Weather and Ballooning." You can also relax in our new Sky Lounge before going to the park to enjoy the City's celebration of Independence Day.
Free Admission Sunday mornings and first Friday of each month
Enjoy free admission to the Balloon Museum every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and all day the first Friday of each month.

The exhibition honors the intimate relationship between Native Americans, nature and the sky, while expanding our knowledge of the many cultural, artistic and historic connections between Native Americans, balloons and ballooning.

The Flying Bus Program

The Flying Bus Program provides field trips to the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum for underserved children, Title I schools, community centers and senior centers.
Museum admission, transportation funding, and educational materials are included.
The Flying Bus Program is funded by Bank of America Charitable Foundation and administered by AAIBM Foundation.

Museum Mission Statement
The Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is an educational institution of engaging exhibitions and informative programs on the art, culture, history, science and sport of ballooning and other lighter-than-air craft.
The Museum encompasses an international, national and regional perspective demonstrating the global development of ballooning achievements through exhibitions, collections and programs designed for diverse audiences.
The Museum also showcases the adventurous spirit, endeavors and achievements of individual balloonists.

The Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is owned and operated by the Cultural Services Department of the City of Albuquerque and supported by the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum Foundation.
