Twinkle Light Parade
Presented by Mayor Martin J. Chavez, the City of Albuquerque, and the Joiner Family
A night parade showcasing over 100 entries all decked out in festive holiday lighting in Downtown Albuquerque. The Parade will end at the Rio Grande Botanic Garden where the after festivities will continue under the Big Top, in the west parking lot.
Official Lighting:
Lighting of Central Ave. will be at approximately 5:00 PM. Parade will start following the Lighting Ceremony. (Approx. 5:15 PM).
Parade Route:
Parade starts at 3rd St and Central Ave., heads west on Central Ave. to Tingley Parkway. Following the Parade, there will be free festivities at the Rio Grande Botanic Garden include: musical entertainment, visits with Santa in his Log Cabin, Parade Awards, and lots of festive goodies for the little ones. An entry fee is required for the River of Lights display.
Shuttle Information:
- To the Botanic Garden: Free bus transportation to and from Atrisco Plaza and the Botanic Garden. Pick up/Drop off at Atrisco Plaza (on Atrisco and Central) will be in the NE section of the lot. Pick up drop off at the Botanic Garden will be in the west lot of the Botanic Garden; only buses can access this lot.
- Rapid Ride Info: Take the Ride Rapid Ride for free to and from the parade and anywhere along the parade route between the hours of 3:00 and 10:00 pm. Regular Rapid Ride schedule from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and 20 minute service from 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Parking at 2nd and Gold and at 5th and Copper is free that night. So park your car, take the Rapid Ride to the Parade and back and afterwards, enjoy Downtown's many restaurant and entertainment venues.
