The 2008 Clean Air Challenge ended March 31, 2008. The campaign has been a complete success with 3,607 citizens making the pledge to use alternative modes of transportation. A big thank you to everyone who participated. A special thank you to the 43 businesses who helped educate the community of the importance of public transportation and clean air.
Climatic conditions in Albuquerque make pollution an even bigger problem in the winter months, and vehicle emissions are the number one source of pollutants. Help us keep our air safe and clean by participating in the ABQ RIDE Clean Air Challenge. Continue to use the bus, walk, bike, train or carpool.
Everyone can make a difference! We are asking all Albuquerque metropolitan area commuters to continue to use alternative modes of transportation.
For more information about how you can make a difference in the pursuit of clean air call 243-RIDE (7433) or email Serena Pearson to find out how you can help in the 2009 Clean Air Challenge.
Thank you to our fine sponsors for their support in the 2008 Clean Air Challenge.
