A youth dialogue with FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler.
Media Literacy Project and our partners through the Digital Justice Coalition will host a panel discussion with FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler, New Mexico State Senator Jacob Candelaria, Marisa Demarco, and Autumn Chacon.
We will cover topics such as telehealth, net neutrality, prison phones, rural broadband access, improved internet in schools and libraries, Lifeline, and the recent telecommunications mergers. The event is organized by a Media Literacy Project and a youth committee. Young adult and youth voices will be prioritized.
All are welcome and will have ways to take action. If you can't make it to Albuquerque, watch the event live online.
Up to Friday, June 27 at 5 p.m. MST, you can call (505) 828-8897 to leave your testimony, some of which will be played at the event. The rest will be filed with the FCC to make sure it is heard. During the event, questions can be asked of the panel via Twitter with #OurVoicesNM or in person.
