Description

TELLING, ALBUQUERQUE is one of The Telling Project's testimonial theatrical performances. Albuquerque will be the 18th major city where all generations of veterans, military family members, artists, community partners, and volunteers come together to increase the understanding between military and civilian community members. Since Spring, 2014 a small group of local volunteers has been hard at work to make Telling Albuquerque a reality.  Presented by The Museum of the American Military Family, The Telling Project and the Bob Woodward Foundation.

This is a multi-day event.  Also presented on:
Sept. 13, 19 and 20 at 7 p.m.
Sept. 14 at 2 p.m.

Since 2008, The Telling Project, a non-partisan, not-for-profit, has worked with military veterans and their families to facilitate communication between with military veterans, their families, and civilian communities across the United States. For Telling, Albuquerque local military veterans and family members will have recorded interviews transcribed and shaped into a performance script. After intensive performance training and rehearsal, they will perform their stories for their Albuquerque community. Telling, Albuquerque stories will include those of male and female veterans from various eras and conflicts, as well family members such as wives, parents and children of military veterans.

The Telling Project has produced performances across the United States in such cities as Washington DC (The Library of Congress), San Francisco, Portland OR, Austin, Minneapolis, and New York City. Telling, Albuquerque will be the 18th original Telling Project production.

Telling, Albuquerque, is written by The Telling Project’s senior writer / producer Max Rayneard, and MAMF writer-in-residence, and local producer Caroline LeBlanc. Max Rayneard will direct the production, assisted by Martin Andrews and Claudia Mathes.
