The South Broadway Cultural Center art gallery is a light and bright inviting space for viewing the eight curated art exhibitions featured each year. With free off-street parking and free entry during SBCC hours of operation, and during special events, the art gallery is a wonderful place to visit. Curator Augustine Romero brings the best in local art and artists to showcase Albuquerque's position as a true art mecca. Opening night receptions for the artists are free to the public, and a great opportunity to meet and mingle with these talented artists.

Regular hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call (505) 848-1320.

On the Map Exhibition: The Bomb

January 15, 2015-February 28, 2015

The Bomb will serve up a panoramic overview of the last ten years of local art production incaption: New Mexico. The Bomb, a new and explosive visual arsenal of art, embraces the transformation of materials into new works that characterize the contemporary art scene. Selected highlights of the past and the present provide an overview of area artists that reflect postmodern ideals, complex identities, and lived experiences, as well as hybridity.
