Telephone Book Recycling

Telephone Books may be dropped off from Jan. 7 to Feb. 29, 2012 at the following Albuquerque Smith's Food Stores

Look for the large open-top dumpsters close to Smith’s Food Stores (excluding the Yale and Coal location). They are marked with bright yellow stickers, and will remind you that you are helping to create next year’s new books.

 

Please refrain from placing telephone books with your regular curbside recycling.

 

Tree Recycling

Christmas trees from residential customers can be dropped off for free recycling from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Jan. 2 to 8, 2012.

 

Tree Limits

Trees are limited to five per customer.

There is no charge to drop-off your Christmas tree; however, regular fees apply to dispose of other trash and yard waste.

Tree Recycling Benefits

Christmas trees will be chipped on site and available free to the public to use as mulch.

 

By recycling your Christmas tree, you are saving valuable landfill space and giving back to the environment.
