GALLERY INFORMATION AND DIMENSIONS
The SBCC Gallery consists of 3000 SQ. FT., including five
(5) main walls and three (3) small walls totaling 93 linear feet of exhibit
space. All walls are 10’ high except for
the front wall, which is 7’5” high and 16’ wide. All walls are sheetrock and plywood reinforced,
and the preferable hardware for mounting work are screws that can be driven in

SECURITY AND INSURANCE
The gallery is equipped with a security alarm system. The system is an electronic beam which runs
the length of the wall in the gallery and sounds whenever the beam is
broken. IN ORDER FOR THE ALARM TO WORK, NO
OBJECT MAY PROTRUDE FURTHER THAN 5” FROM THE WALL. If there is a question about an art object
being too thick, check with the Gallery Curator. There is no alarm system for the items
displayed on pedestals, but they do have screw lock plexiglass covers. Free standing art piece security will be
negotiated between artist and curator.
Except for gallery opening, Exhibit viewing hours, theater
performances, and library hours, the Center’s glass doors are always kept
locked. Visitors to the gallery can
enter through the East or South doors.
