STOP Formula Grant

Program Description:

stopviolenceThe Recovery Act provides $140 million nationally to Services Training Officers Prosecutors Formula Grant Program (STOP Program) to promote a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to enhance services and advocacy to victims, improve the criminal justice system's response, and promote effective law enforcement, prosecution, and judicial strategies to address domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

The City operates a family advocacy center which is a multi-jurisdiction public/private partnership that fully integrates the functions of law enforcement, forensic evidence collection, prosecution and victim assistance in a “One Stop Shop” format, so that the needs of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse victims, and the furtherance of justice, are effectively and efficiently served.
