The year-over-year growth of the one percent distribution in Albuquerque averaged 2.45% over the last fiscal year. Albuquerque's small business share of employment was 17.5%, 18.1%, and 18.4% in 2000, 2005, and 2009, respectively.
NATIONAL/REGIONAL COMPARISON:
Albuquerque ranks 3rd among our peer cities in small business share of employment.
CITIZEN PERCEPTION:
When surveyed in 2011, Albuquerque citizens ranked business development and prosperity importance close to 6 on a 7 point likert scale and 4.1 in progress.
