Alarm Fees & Fines: Online Payment

Alarm fees and false alarm fines may be paid online, in person or by mail.

Methods of Payment

Online

The False Alarm Reduction Unit new online payment system to:

• view your account history,
• apply for a new alarm permit,
• make changes to your emergency contacts,
• and the option to submit payments electronically through ACH debit or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express)

Existing customers will enter your Permit Number and PIN on your first login. Please email FARU support [email protected] OR FARU directly for your PIN Number.

In Person

You may pay in person at the City Treasurers Office located at City Hall or at the City Treasurers Annex located at 600 2nd St NW, First Floor, Plaza Del Sol Building, Albuquerque, NM 87102. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. Monday thru Friday excluding holidays.

By Mail

For your convenience you may pay by mail. Please DO NOT SEND CASH. Payment should be made by check or money order payable to the City of Albuquerque. Please write the invoice number on your check. Foreign or two party checks are not accepted. Mail to:

Appealing a False Alarm Notice

Any person or entity that receives a false alarm notice or notice of fines due may file a written appeal with the False Alarm Reduction Unit supervisor. The appeal must be received within 30 days of the false alarm.
