Officers Teach Children Compassionate Lessons
Two Albuquerque Police Officers taught a group of children some very important lessons about bullying and kindness.
Officer Jim Edison responded to a call of unsupervised children playing in the street in Northwest Albuquerque. When he and Officer Poccia arrived, they found out one of the children’s bikes was broken.
Officer Edison quickly fixed the bike, and then another child said his brakes weren’t working on his bike. Officer Edison fixed that bike as well.
The officers then learned the children were bullying one of the kids who was hanging out with them. They emphasized the importance of being kind to each other, supporting one another and how to use teamwork to resolve conflicts.
Lessons like this can truly make a difference in our community!
