Description
Owners of unwanted guns and ammunition now have a safe and secure disposal option. The Albuquerque Police Department will accept firearms and ammunition from anyone throughout the State who wishes to dispose of them. These items will be accepted on the second Saturday of each month.
Residents can either drop off firearms and/or ammunition at the Metropolitan Forensic Science Center also known as the APD Crime Lab located at 5350 2nd St. NW, from 9 am to 3 pm on the designated disposal date or they can call Crime Lab Director, Marc Adams, at (505) 235-3159 to make arrangements for in-town pickup or drop off.
Firearms and ammunition will be accepted without question.
