Jessie Chavez is Today’s Repeat Offender
The Albuquerque Police Department has named Jessie Chavez as today’s Repeat offender of the Day. Chavez has 55 prior arrests and was charged today in Metropolitan Court withBurglary, Tampering with Evidence, Escape from Custody of Police and Possession of Burglary tools.
As a part of the repeat offender of the day program, the Albuquerque Police Department is placing Chavez’s picture on its Facebook page and web site as well as posting a link on the department’s Twitter account. The repeat offender of the day program was started in June 2012 by Mayor Richard J. Berry and Police Chief Raymond Schultz in an attempt to get a meaningful Three Strikes Law Passed.
