Northeast Quadrant of Albuquerque

Hermosa Drive NE from Grand Avenue NE to Copper Avenue NE
Hermosa Drive NE is closed from Grand Avenue NE to Copper Avenue NE for the installation of a six inch water line. This work is scheduled through early to mid-March. Motorists can use Carlisle Boulevard NE or Solano Drive NE as alternate routes.


Northwest Albuquerque

Unser Boulevard NW from north of Molten Rock Road NW to Flor Del Sol NW
Two separate crews will be working in this area to repair pipelines. Crews will be working on the stretch of Unser Boulevard NW through the month of March. During this construction, the northbound lanes of Unser Boulevard will be closed. Traffic will be shifted to the southbound lanes, with one lane of traffic in each direction. Left turns will be discouraged for northbound or southbound traffic, except for local traffic. Motorists should expect delays and can use Montano Road NW, Dellyne Avenue NW, Bogart Street NW and Coors Boulevard NW as alternate routes.


Southeast Quadrant of Albuquerque

Hermosa Drive SE from Central Avenue SE to Silver Avenue SE
Hermosa Drive SE is closed from Central Avenue SE to Silver Avenue SE for installation of large diameter pipeline that connects to a tunnel underneath Central Avenue. This work is scheduled through the end of March. Access is being maintained to all local churches and businesses. Motorists can use Carlisle Boulevard NE or Solano Drive NE as alternate routes. Motorists and residents should use caution in the construction area and should expect delays.

Pershing Drive SE east and west of Carlisle Boulevard SE
Crews have completed the tunnel underneath Carlisle Boulevard as part of the Burton Pipeline; however, Pershing Drive SE is closed one block east of Carlisle Boulevard SE. Pershing
Drive SE is expected to be completely open to through traffic by mid-March. Access is being maintained for local residents only.

Parkland Circle SE from Pershing Drive SE to Ridgecrest Drive SE
Crews have completed the pipeline installation on the short stretch of Parkland Circle SE where it forms a triangle with Pershing Drive SE and Ridgecrest Drive SE; however, Parkland Circle SE is still closed for storm drain installation. Access will be maintained for local residences and local traffic only. Parkland Circle SE is expected to open to through traffic by mid to end of March. Motorists can use Carlisle Boulevard SE as an alternate route.

Ridgecrest Drive SE at Hermosa Drive SE
This intersection is closed to thru traffic beginning in March for installation of a large diameter pipeline across the intersection. Motorists can use Carlisle Boulevard SE or Monterey Avenue SE as alternate routes. Access will be maintained to all residences.

Coal Avenue SE at Hermosa Drive SE
The intersection of Coal Avenue SE and Hermosa Drive SE was completely closed March 1 through March 3 while crews install large diameter pipeline underneath the intersection. Coal Avenue SE was re-opened to traffic on Tuesday, March 4; however, Hermosa Drive SE will remain closed on both sides of Coal Avenue SE while crews continue installation of large diameter pipeline. Access will be maintained for local residents only.

Lead Avenue SE at Hermosa Drive SE
The intersection of Lead Avenue SE and Hermosa Drive SE was completely closed March 7 through March 9 while crews installed a large diameter pipeline underneath the intersection. Motorists are encouraged to use Central Avenue SE, Montclaire Drive SE or Morningside Drive SE as alternate routes. Lead Avenue SE was re-opened to traffic on Monday, March 10; however, Hermosa Drive SE will remain closed on both sides of Lead Avenue SEwhile crews continue installation of large diameter pipeline. Access will be maintained for local residents only.
