Policy and Regulatory Analysis

The Long Range Planning division supports the periodic review and amendment of the City's land development and growth policies and regulations for implementing the Comprehensive Plan [pdf, 11.3MB] and Planned Growth Strategy. The most recent efforts in this regard are Zoning Code Amendments designed to promote infill development and build neighborhoods better suited to walking and neighborly social interaction.

Also in progress in 2009 are proposed amendments to the Development Process Manual regarding Subdivision, Sidewalk and Street Tree requirements.
