Policy and Regulatory Analysis

The Advance and Urban Design division supports the periodic review and amendment of the City's land development and growth policies and regulations for implementing the Comprehensive Plan [pdf, 11.3MB] and Planned Growth Strategy. The most recent efforts in this regard are Zoning Code Amendments designed to promote infill development and build neighborhoods better suited to walking and neighborly social interaction.

Also in progress in 2005 are proposed Development Process Manual amendments for street standards and Subdivision, Sidewalk and Street Tree Ordinance amendments for street design standards.
