Adoption Specials To Continue In November

  October's Adoption Specials at Animal Welfare's East and Westside shelters and Lucky Paws store in Coronado Center will continue through November, once again making pets more affordable for people who want to adopt.

  The rates were reduced in October to $59 to adopt dogs and $39 to adopt cats (whether or not they are spayed or neutered), as part of National Adopt-A-Dog Month, a campaign to highlight all the wonderful homeless dogs waiting to be adopted.

As always, all adoption fees cover:

  • The animal's spaying or neutering
  • Any postoperative care--if needed;
  • Microchip with lifetime registration;
  • City license;
  • Rabies vaccination and license
  • For dogs, their first Distemper/Parvo vaccination and Intranasal Bordatella;
  • For cats, their first Rhinotracheitis/Calicivirus/Panleukopenia vaccination and Feline Leukemia test;
  • Free initial veterinarian's examination from a participating clinic.
