expired

Save Lucky Paws raises $18 K for store renovation.

The Lucky Paws Adoption Center at Coronado Mall will reopen for business on Monday, September 10 at 11:30 am. The interior of the shelter, which handles more than 2,000 adoptions a year, was refurbished to improve conditions for the animals and to be more inviting to the public.

The 8-day renovation consisted of repairing and painting walls, replacing kennel panels, using hi-sealant to prevent leaks and mold, new closing gate, installing new laminated counters and benches and much more. The cost, about $18,000, was covered by Save Lucky Paws, a 501c (3) nonprofit.

“We are honored and grateful to have the support of Save Lucky Paws. Homeless pets who are in our care deserve a comfortable environment until they can find forever homes,” said Barbara Bruin, Director of the Animal Welfare Department.
