Calling All Artists!

The Animal Welfare Department is looking for animal-loving local artists to participate in our “Adopt an Artist Companion” event running Saturday July 22 to Sunday July 23, 2017.

The Animal Welfare Department is looking for animal-loving local artists to participate in our “Adopt an Artist Companion” event running Saturday July 22 to Sunday July 23, 2017.
There is no fee to participate! Participating artists will get to meet with one of our amazing, adoptable pets and work with that animal’s paw prints to create a unique piece of art, similar to the examples shown here. These one-of-a-kind pieces will be displayed in the lobby during the event as our pets search for new and loving homes.
Participants will also be able to display and sell their own artwork at our shelters on Saturday July 22, so visitors can browse and purchase the art as they look for their new four-legged family members.
Both our Eastside and Westside shelters will be available to display art. 10% of the proceeds of all art sales will go towards enrichment and comfort items for our shelter pets.
If you’re interested in participating, please contact our marketing manager, Desiree Cawley at 505.764.1164 or [email protected]
