Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department Hosting Job Fairs

Job Fairs

The City of Albuquerque’s Animal Welfare Department will be hosting Job fairs from Tuesday, May 22nd, through Thursday, May 24th to fill full-time positions for Animal Services Officers. Candidates who attend one of the job fairs should bring their resumes, as they will be able to speak with Human Resources representatives and apply in-person.

In an effort to ensure cases are being managed efficiently, Animal Welfare is hiring highly committed, focused and motivated individuals to be part of their team. Potential employees will have an opportunity to serve Albuquerque residents and keep pets safe by enforcing city ordinances pertaining to the care, treatment, impound, handling and quarantine of wild and domestic animals; and investigating reports of animal cruelty, abandonment and nuisances.

The Animal Welfare Department offers on-site training; great benefits including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, a retirement program, tuition reimbursement, and paid vacation.
