Fifth stray of Christmas

12 Strays of Christmas - Bonita has been adopted.

Albuquerque Animal Welfare reminds you to always spay or neuter your pets.

ID#A1683343- Bonita is a beautiful 7-year-old female, tricolor Akita mix. She is smart, sweet, and gentle. Mental stimulation as well as human interaction would give Bonita everything she would need to be a loyal and loving companion.  She has excellent leash skills. Bonita can respond to simple commands such as sit and she can give high fives. You can meet her at the Westside shelter.

Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department will introduce a new pet each day through December 24. Each pet featured in the “12 Strays of Christmas” comes with the special adoption fee of just $12. These pets will be featured on our web site and Facebook page.

The $12 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, follow up call with an Adoption Counselor to make sure your new pet is adjusting well, a goodie bag with coupons and some toys from Petco.

If you are interested in making one of these adorable animals a member of your family, contact 311 or visit our web site www.cabq.gov/pets
