Make a Pit Stop ... Adopt a Pit

For the remainder of the month of September, the City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department is hosting a Pit Bull Adoption event called Make a Pit Stop… Adopt a Pit.

• 50% off the adoption fee for all Pit breeds and mixes 6 months and older

• Free Pit Bull 101 info booklets will be provided to every Pit Bull adopter. The booklets are geared toward new and prospective owners.

• With every Pit Bull adoption, Petco is offering a free one-hour training session to be held at the Petco facility.

• Staff and volunteers will be on hand to provide assistance and guidance for prospective adopters.

• Animal Welfare will be giving Clear Channel radio stations 20 coupons that can be redeemed for free Pit Bull spay/neuter surgeries. The radio shows will be offering education tips about Pit Bulls to show listeners they need their Pit Bull spay/neutered.

• Each adoption includes spay or neuter, microchip, all vaccinations required by law, and a license.
