Description

In Remembrance of Terrie Q. Sayre

Animal Welfare Department Lucky Paws Adoption Center, Friends of Lucky Paws and Travelin’ Jack are hosting the first-year anniversary fundraiser on Sunday, January 24 for the Terrie Q’s Angels program at Lucky Paws in Coronado Center.

The late Terrie Q. Sayre left behind a legacy of kindness to our shelter animals. She devoted her time and talents to promoting animal rescue, spay/neuter and made a positive impact on the animal welfare world. In memory of Terrie, a program called Terrie Q’s Angels is designed to help dogs and cats at Lucky Paws who have special needs or have waited a long time for homes. The proceeds will help with their special needs and publicize them as Terrie Q’s Angels. A book of their stories is being kept at Lucky Paws.

During the fundraiser the public can select a unique companion for an adoption fee of only $10 for pets 6 months or older. The staff is ready to help find your perfect match. Along with a dog adoption Animal Welfare is providing one day of free basic dog training.

Star Wars fans can come to the Lucky Paws Adoption Center from noon to 2 p.m. to take a photo with their favorite Star Wars character. The 501st Legion will be in Star Wars costumes.

When: Sunday, January 24

Where: Lucky Paws in Coronado Center: 6600 Menual Blvd. NE
