The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department has six traveling pet cardboard cutouts that are scheduled to travel all over Albuquerque to advocate for sheltered pets waiting to complete a family’s home.

Animal Welfare is hoping these cardboard cutouts throughout the store will remind shoppers a pet is a wonderful addition to a family.

The first destination for the images will be the different home settings in the various showrooms at American Home, Saturday, August 23.

Please join American Home and the Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department for a special event to launch the project. There will be a pet adoption on-site, several food trucks, specialty pet vendors, and lots of giveaways including 50% off the adoption fee of your new family member.

The first 100 people to come view the traveling pet cardboard cutouts will receive a coupon for a large Papa Murphy’s pizza.

Date: August 23, 2014

Place: 3535 Menaul NE
