- On Saturday, July 21, 2012 West Mesa will be hosting the Sundance Championship swim meet. The entire facility will be closed that day.
- On Saturday, July 28, 2012 the Olympic pool will be closed for both sessions of recreation swim due to the City of Albuquerque Metro District Meet. There will be very limited wristbands sold this day.
- On Saturday August 4, 2012 West Mesa is hosting the City of Albuquerque Metro League City Meet. The Olympic pool will be closed for the first session of recreation swim (12:30-2:30 p.m.). The indoor and outdoor slide pools will remain open but a very limited number of wristbands will be sold for the first session. All three pools will be open for the second session (3-5 p.m.).
